Bos believes overall COVID-19 picture doesn't justify governor's threats of additional shutdowns
Republican state House candidate Chris Bos isn’t convinced the COVID-19 situation calls for what Gov. J.B. Pritzker is now weighing.
“I would like to see more concrete data on why he’s thinking what he seems to be,” Bos told the Lake County Gazette. “This state still hasn’t recovered from his first shutdown order, especially our hard-hit small businesses, which at times have almost seem to be targeted.”
Citing rising infection rates that have moved 11 counties to “warning levels” for the spread of the virus, Pritzker recently pronounced the state is at a “danger point” for another potential shutdown.
“It’s one thing to say there are rising numbers and new cases popping up, but what about hospitalizations, recoveries and death rates?” Bos added. “All those things really matter, too.” ...
“We need all the voices of this state coming together and coalescing as one voice about what’s best for all of Illinois.” - Chris Bos
