Lake Zurich, IL – Republican Chris Bos, candidate for the 51st District of the Illinois House of Representatives, issued a statement following the governor’s budget address:

“Rather than rooting out all of the waste, fraud and abuse, politicians in Springfield continue to spend money we don’t have while Illinois is backlogged with more than $7 billion in bills we can’t pay.

“As Illinois sets records for the highest tax burden and population loss, it begs the question: where is Representative Mary Edly-Allen’s leadership?

“As the representative for the 51st District, I will not skip town when there is still work to be done, from paying our bills to needed budget reforms. I am committed to serving as the independent voice we need in Springfield and will work toward fiscally responsible solutions that forces Illinois to live within its means.”

Chris Bos has dedicated his life to service. For nearly two decades, he devoted his time as a children’s and family pastor, as well as working with non-profit leadership. He has been a trustee with Ela Township since 2017. Chris and his wife Christina live in Lake Zurich and have three children.
