GOP state House candidate Bos says governor's clout list hires show 'how rigged this system is'
Republican state House candidate Chris Bos is imploring Illinois voters to fight back against Springfield corruption in the only way he thinks will truly matter.
“The first step we need to take is to declare that any person seeking office or re-election in November that has accepted money from House Speaker Mike Madigan (D-Chicago) or one of his affiliate organizations is someone we will no longer vote for,” Bos told the Lake County Gazette. “Think about it. If he doesn’t have the power to control everything in Springfield, we can finally start to move this state forward.”
Bos laments the findings in a new WBEZ report that concludes during his first 18 months in office, Gov. J.B. Pritzker made at least 35 hires from a so-called “clout list” supplied to him by Madigan.
“That’s how rigged this system is and that’s how Springfield has worked for far too long. It’s how the Madigan Machine has controlled Illinois government and politics for generations and generations.” - Chris Bos
